We need to trick them if at all possible and that's ok.

Kennys.ie is really good independent bookshop. It's an actual little brick and mortor shop in Galway, and I guess they must have a huge warehouse now, because they have loads of books

i'm all for research and science but the people who point at the lack of scientific evidence that phones are harming young people drive me round the bend
sometimes the science needs time to catch up and we can just trust the blatantly obvious in the meantime

I taught film to 16-18yos for decades & had to deal with this problem from 2005 onwards.
I had to put their phones on their desk & turn them off. They were frustrated at first but eventually accepted that they had to concentrate on the film & enjoyed doing so.
Then it was back to their phones.
