Today really feels like I day I should have prepared to eat unagi. None in the freezer. Next time I’m down to Auckland I need to buy some.
Korean cold noodles for lunch and soba for dinner. Probably sōmen tomorrow if it is this hot again.

Wow it’s hot out!
I went out early to do some scything. Got a good portion done and also an area with a ton of thistles down by my barn. But then had to stop. Was too hot even before 10am
Cool shower outside by my sauna and still felt hot.
Inside and later in the hammock for the rest of the day.

Once I get home from this last business trip of the year I’m going to again by mixing up some gin and tonics with strawberries and shiso. Was so good last time and now can’t stop thinking about that combo.

Saw some autonomous wheelchairs at Narita. They seemed to be returning “home” after helping a passenger. But it felt odd to see them making their way against the stream, through the walking passengers while the wheelchair was empty. Like “hey, where is your person?”

As a transplanted Kiwi on 5 acres this tractor is an easy “want. But how in the heck this Yanmar Diesel tractor in their showroom right outside Tokyo station makes sense is beyond me.
