StuMom used to work at a chicken processing plant. That place got raided more than once, and this was before Homeland Security/ICE even existed.
yes, 'immigration enforcment' could be periodic audits of employers to see if they're using e-verify, it doesn't have to be J6ers in MRAPs tear gassing people
I would contend that 1) If the federal government wanted to, it could more or less eliminate the ability of undocumented migrants to find work in the U.S. 2) People will not migrate to a country where they can't work, 3) None of this enforcement would resemble what ICE does.

This is related to my stance on patriotism vs nationalism.
Folks should feel patriotic. They should love their nation. That does not mean being blind to its flaws.
America and Americans should strive to be that "shining beacon on the hill".
