Trump says that HBCUs would be "all be out of business" if fewer Chinese students were allowed to go to American universities

Good time to re-recommend this. This generation of people has to be voted out of government.
Worthwhile read, (check your local library for it before just buying it).

"A Generation of Sociopaths: How the Baby Boomers Betrayed America" by Bruce Gibney. Provides a very thorough analysis for why the most consequential generation in history is the way it is.

Even when I was a kid, I imagined humanoid robots becoming a product of improving robotic formats. You’d start with something like a roomba and gradually work your way up to an optimized form factor based on need, a robot evolution of sorts. This fast forward to humanoid robots is dumb.

“He is a self-described ‘fire buff’ who cites his time as a young boy chasing fire engines as inspiration for his service.”

Hell yeah buddy, you’re twelve.
I thought he was just a guy from LI who didn't want to have to live in NYC under Mamdani. I was wrong, he's from NYC. He has financial ties to Israel and no firefighting experience (he was appointed last summer and uhm a lot was going on). From wikipedia.

i can guarantee that like 90% of the people who vote "no" will never come even close to ever making >$300k a year.
Colorado measures LL and MM are the easiest yes votes in my life. I will gladly pay more just to feed the freaking kids. All the arguments against it are stupid and are made by stupid people.

the power of seeing someone as diehard as MTG pivot from trumpism is underrated. the permission she gives herself to realize she got duped is contagious.

The filibuster protects the expansion of government policy. As we‘ve seen, it doesn’t do much to prevent government inaction and/or dysfunction. There’s an extremely asymmetric risk to seeing it abolished.
Johnson: "If they had no filibuster, they would pack the SCOTUS. You'd go from 9 to 17 or however many liberals they could pack. You would make DC & Puerto Rico into states, which would give 4 additional Democrat senators & make us a permanent minority. You'd see massive restrictions of 2A rights"

This reminds me of an old Greg Fitzsimmons joke.

Why would anyone want to model their life after a caveman? The average caveman’s lifespan was, like, 19.

also worth noting that what we’re experiencing is the absolute pinnacle of conservatism, both culturally and politically. We’re literally experiencing what happens when decency is strictly limited to superficialities and government is laid to waste.

Women only gained the federal right to open bank accounts and get credit in their own name in 1974 with the passage of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. People forget that not that long ago, America was basically Iran except women could wear bikinis.
Men used to be even worse but the social requirement the women marry them and put up with them forever has decreased
