Seriously what is with this punkass strappy uniform? He looks like the Dorian Gray painting of Rolf Gruber
Bovino: "Something else here as far as what happened in that Target store is truly I felt sorry for the public, and the reason for that is by and large 90% of the public are happy to see us. They like to engage with us, talk with us and find out about our missions."

Proud of Philly
This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.

Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.”

Really listen to it.

This kind of thing does point out a real ethical dilemma: block or mute?

Hundreds of people have packed into Chicago's Thalia Hall tonight for a community listening session on CPD collaboration with ICE/CBP.

Police district councillors who gathered petition signatures required to hold tonight's hearing are opening by thanking the community for showing out.

Sometimes all you can do is make the world 0.0000000000001% less awful by being a good person and it feels very meaningless but it’s also the only thing that really matters

Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

I’m sorry but I think folks can often be too harsh with Sarah. 95 Ds voted YES bc of leadership, why single her out so often?

She got elected statewide in Delaware. Her path is challenging and this time is terrifying. I think the disagreements w/ her can be less personal. I care about her safety.

The focus on individual productivity in this analysis continues to be misplaced IMO. We are asking these things to do complex expert tasks instead of simple easily verifiable prep work, and treating them more like Microsoft Office than a ServiceNow or Salesforce type collaborative platform.
AI May *not* be coming for your job after all!

AI developers v. hand-coders:

"But when the METR team looked at the employees’ actual work output, they found that the developers had completed tasks 20 percent slower when using AI than when working without it."

Just How Bad Would an AI Bubble Be?
The entire U.S. economy is being propped up by the promise of productivity gains that seem very far from materializing.

This is the big problem
Being the person they have to call when the LLM hits its limit and they're running in circles is already the position I and some of my peers are already in.

The problem here is the pipeline. You don't get to my capability, by replacing younger less experienced me with an LLM.

This is gonna be bad.
