So…presumption of guilt?
VAN SUSTEREN: Can we certain that we're not getting innocent people?

McCORMICK: We are certain

VAN SUSTEREN: But have we? Can you say with certainly we haven't hit innocents?

McCORMICK: Unless somebody has information to the contrary, we are as careful about this as anything we do

I’m confused, how are illegal immigrants simultaneously siphoning all the welfare to live in luxury hotels and also buying up all the real estate at the same time?
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Conservatives will believe in weather manipulation technology before accepting that an adjudicated sexual assaulter, who said he could grope women’s genitals because he’s famous, that he’d date his own daughter, who toured a girls’ dressing room, was best friends with a sex trafficker, raped girls

The remainder of the Democratic Senate caucus who vote no on this are *grifters*

If they truly meant what they said, understood the stakes, and felt the base’s energy, there would be an immediate vote of no confidence to choose a new Minority Leader

Otherwise, any objections are just theater

Even if Democrats cave, the shutdown’s conclusion is when government data on employment and inflation comes back in play. I’m not sure the camel’s back will survive it—depression may be a best case scenario.

The shutdown’s destruction of air travel is intentional. They want people trapped here.

Ngl, this feels like a planted story to help Talarico come off as less gay. In the absence of a known girlfriend or wife (at 36 years old), this demonstrates both attraction to women *and* godliness at the same time.
Axios tried to bust James Talarico for following adult content creators on Instagram and I'm genuinely impressed by his campaign's response

Until the end of the government shutdown, our campaign will be donating $2,500 a month to a food pantry in the Ninth District.

And to my fellow candidates, I challenge you to do the same:

Meanwhile, National Republicans can’t even be held accountable for what National Republicans do, let alone the state level psychopathy of outlawing basic vaccine mandates, setting bounties on undocumented people to be permanently incarcerated for labor, bringing back no fault divorce, etc. etc.
san francisco has been a national synecdoche for "the loony left" for longer than most americans have been alive. why is that a burden *now* when it wasn't 10 years ago, or 20 years ago or 30 years ago?
I don't think it helps the debate about what Democrats should do to pick an obscure thing that some Democrat somewhere may have said -- like on teaching eighth grade algebra -- and then attribute it to Democrats generally.

Simultaneous GOP talking points:

1. Joe Biden made a terrible economy, where people didn’t have enough money for groceries

2. Joe Biden bloated SNAP

3. The economy is still shitty because of Joe Biden

4. We must immediately de-bloat SNAP

SNAP has never lapsed under a Democratic controlled Congress or White House. That’s all.

The GOP is so effective at framing the trans community as a threat to cis people (with literally no evidence).
Meanwhile, their transphobia is *actually* hurting cis people, and Dems as sitting on their hands instead of amplifying it:

Mike Johnson on SNAP benefits ending Saturday: "The White House has all the pain dials turned back to just a 0 or a 1 as best they can, but when you're out or resources they go all the way up. And it's out of their hands, it's out of our hands."

I think AOC may run for president, knowing she’ll probably lose the primary but banking on a more centrist nominee choosing her as VP to round out the ticket. While generally VPs don’t do much, if Democrats somehow manage to regain power it won’t really matter
