But as I read this my cats screamed for dinner, and I couldn’t help but think that they agree with her - there SHOULD be more birds around me right now.

Until Casino Royale, nobody cared about continuity. The films were always of the age they came out in. People made up theories like "James Bond is a codename that comes with being agent 007" if they cared about the discrepancy of a changing face more than the discrepancies caused by making it canon.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

“Protect the west” is one hell of a racist bullhorn
First, none of them look like this. Second, how does this flex “protect” anything?

A high school acquaintance ran the local snow clearing co. for years. A good man I uncharitably disliked in high school cuz he dated my sis. We got along in recent years. He died this summer.
His co. is late clearing my driveway this morning, so I called. His voice still animates the phone system.

c'est fou comment c'est payant politiquement au Québec de s'en prendre aux médecins.

Explaining why Bond is alive needs just as much explanation as Back to the Future gave to why Doc and Marty are friends.
This is a fake problem. It's like explaining why Bond looks different. No one cares.

This isn't remotely hard.
Either lean into the fan theory that "James Bond" is a cover that gets passed from agent to agent, or just start setting these back in the 1960s when a character like Bond made a little more sense.
There. Mail me my check.

I really miss that stretch of time when fatness was being treated as human and beautiful. The snap back to pseudohealth body standards is really fashy and has infected the left to everyone's detriment. imo.

Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

I asked a friend to help me move twice. Both times he didn’t show up and left me with a ton more work than I expected. After that I hired movers.
Imagine if I’d just kept expecting him to show up over and over and over and over again?
At what point would *I* be the asshole in that scenario?

Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"
