Hi all. Here’s a bit of an introduction to who I am.

I’m an English professor teaching and advising students pursuing degrees in secondary English Education. I taught English for grades 8-12 for six years before making the jump to higher ed. I’ve been in this position for four years.

These are all great strategies, but I will say I take issue with the title.

I teach in and am the coordinator for a teacher Ed program. I teach most of these. I was also taught most of these during my own studies.
Something @mrrablin.bsky.social wishes he thought of when he was teaching: With a difficult class, write down 3 good things every day, to train yourself to notice the positives. ☀️

As Black History Month approaches, a reminder that HORROR NOIRE, the best-reviewed documentary of 2019, is at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, but is still not “Certified Fresh” because there are only 38 reviews (RT says limited release movies require 40). Is this the year? Will you answer the call?
