And these are the exact same people who have been using the “they’re coming for your daughters” line against trans people for years

Those of who who were paying attention knew that for what it was and are not remotely surprised by this as the end goal
The Heritage Foundation has released a 250-year roadmap to “save America.”

The document is a how-to guide for subjugating girls & young women: a detailed plan to push them out of college, funnel them into early marriage and motherhood, and then trap them there.

This is Max. He is 10 yo and only figured out cuddling at age 8.

Today, Max has leveled up. If I try to lay down on the sofa to nap, he now grumbles until I lift my head enough so he can curl up underneath it and be used as my pillow.

Brett Ratner, the sex pest who came out of retirement to direct the Melania movie that Jeff Bezos spent $75 million on as thousands of people at Amazon and the Washington Post lost their jobs, helped produce an ad in which rapist Mike Tyson spewed fatphobic dreck for Secretary Bear Carcass

"spiral of distrust" means the police escalate, the protesters continue showing up despite threats of bodily harm, and the police escalate again. Rinse and repeat until people on the media are decrying the "violent agitators", never pointing to who's doing the escalating.
Friends in Minneapolis are very worried about this development. Both in terms of state police's role in arresting protestors and the worry that this could set off the kind of spiral of distrust and destruction that followed George Floyd's murder.

Gonzales on Liam Ramos and his family: "They're not gonna qualify for asylum. So what do you do with all the people that go through the process and do not qualify for asylum? You deport them. I understand that 5-year-old and it breaks my heart. I also think, what about that 5-year-old US citizen?"

This is a great snapshot of what the organizing 'vibe' is like around here, especially if you have any history of organizing here & know lots of folks. There are some bigger questions about what people around here are going to want to maintain vs see implemented by the state later. But that's later.
