Why is the "we must be united!" hectoring directed at people who are mad at the Cavers and not to the Cavers? Everyone who's mad was united, then the Cave Caucus walked across the aisle and betrayed what the public had been told was the Dem position.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

And they still ended up with that Hulk film, huh?

Maybe marvel needs to figure out how to tell a story with the right leads before filming.

New: I did a super quick audio update—a 'Breaking Basket'—about how SNAP recipients are feeling about Dems helping to reopen the government, and the lawsuit from states' AGs to protect their benefits.

(This is new format I'm experimenting with, so bear with me!)

Huh well it turns out I heard from a few federal workers about this and well

"We civil servants organized to help our colleagues face the hardship of the shutdown, we put up with the pain and our only request was to not be betrayed like this. Trade our pain, make it count."

And this is why Mark Warner needs to be primaried because all these moderate fuckers need to go along with this “vote for the lesser evil” bullshit.

not enough chatter about how frequently members fly and how attacking airport capacity directly affects them in a way that cutting SNAP does not

Also in case its not being mentioned in your feed, there is still a remaining vote for this and Somehow they didn't anticipate the outrage, so there's apparently some hesitation now.

If those were your senators, call them and don't stop. I will also be calling even though they arent mine
Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

No matter how they voted last night, every one of them has a say in maintaining Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin as their caucus leaders. Every one of them is accountable here.

The best way to primary Kaine is to Primary Warner.

Because in order for their double act of “only one takes the fall” to work, they both have to be in the game.
So. Look here's the thing: if you live in Illinois, it's already too late to get on the primary ballot for next year, & those particular Senators from Maine, Nevada, Pennsylvania, & Virginia aren't up for reelection until 2028 or '30, but Shaheen is up next year, & you can start the others whenever

Imagine if every person upset by tonight’s events became a dues paying member of WFP?

Imagine if elected dems renounced their party and joined WFP?

It’s time to replace the Democratic Party
That’s why we’ll be working to unseat both Republicans as well as corporate Democrats who have kowtowed to the Trump agenda and replace them with Working Families Party champions who will fight to lower the cost of living and guarantee health care for every family.
November 10, 2025 at 4:19 AM
Bitch you aren’t even standing for the Federal workers in the Commonwealth who have missed multiple paychecks in your effort to stand up to Trump with the way you let Warner rest his knees by bowing down instead of

Ask me how I know.
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"
November 10, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Because making sure Mark Warner doesn’t get re-elected is my whole personality, it’s worth it to remember that Virginia is where the Government goes to sleep.

You know how many federal workers live in Northern Virginia and have been going without, just for him to get Kaine to cave for him?

This is no shade to Karen, but a lot depends on how primaries are held in your state. If you're a progressive in a closed primary state like NY, congrats registering as an independent blocked you from voting from Mamdani in the primary. If you're in an open primary state, you do you.
And this is why I’m registered as an independent.

I’ve been hating Mark Warner and calling for him to be primaried since Trump’s first month in office.

I… I am collecting information on all the reasons he shouldn’t be re-elected like infinity stones.

I have to hand it to Democrats. I'm one of the feds working and not getting paid and they manage to make reopening the government feel worse than the alternative.

Like, why did I miss 2.5 paychecks to end up right back where we were before the shutdown started?
Not a political consultant but I’m not sure “standing up to trump doesn’t work” is the best midterm message, even if if accurately represents senate dems position. Not much point in putting you in power then bsky.app/profile/atru...
Sen. Angus King: "Standing up to Donald Trump didn't work"
November 10, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Yep.

They want to be able to travel more than they want people to be able to live in even the slightest comfort.

Because heaven forbid the private airline companies that the government heavily subsidizes fail.
I received this email about Democrats caving to end the shutdown from one of the SNAP recipients I spoke to:

Nice to know Democratic leadership follow the online liberal method of “It didn’t happen immediately so I gave up”.

I know some might have the gut reaction of “But pasta is easy to make”, but as someone who LOVES making pasta—

Bitch do you have the time?

Because that shit takes time.

Making the dough. Rolling it out. Running it through the pasta maker. Drying it. Cleaning up.

It is work.

So basically, like reported, they were chosen to take the fall for Schumer’s stupid plan because they don’t have to worry about re-election any time soon?
KILMEADE: Schumer says he's voting no. Did you do this outside leadership?

SHAHEEN: No. We kept leadership informed throughout.
