Who else is outside for the 3rd time the fire alarm went off this week? Tuesday it was a busted sensor, Wednesday it was pipes burst in the trash compactor, I haven't slept since because I expected this to happen with the low temperatures. I hope it happens again during the game so there's bloodshed

Drivers are bad all over NYS and NJ, but until I moved to NJ, I had encountered other drivers changing lanes in an intersection maybe once every few years, and NJ drivers do this at me on a weekly basis
I will say that one takeaway from living in a bunch of states is that they are kind of *differently* bad in different places. Though now that we are deeper into the smartphone era maybe it’s converging more.

Terrance Gore was the Braves player who Facetime’d Charlie Morton from the field after winning the World Series so Charlie could celebrate with the guys despite his broken leg.

RIP to by all accounts a legitimately great dude and teammate.
Him and I have been friends on Facebook for years. His wife and other friends have made posts this morning about it.

RIP Fred Smith of Television. The bassline bringing the song back from the guitar parts in Friction is one of the most adept maneuvers that any bassist has ever done that in rock music, and also just one of the best few seconds in any post-punk record. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwrC...

canceling Brand New wasn't the hard part, it's been avoiding people who I used to respect because they see some reason not to
Question for the Skyline: What was your HARDEST "cancel"?? Like the actor/singer/athlete that was the hardest to drop.

I feel like it's always people I don't fw getting canceled so it's never really a loss.

The hardest one was maybe TI because I actually liked multiple albums by him.

I like when bands that I listen to name a track as though it is a sequel of a popular song, but with no legitimate connection to the original and only loosely as a spiritual successor, and I think what rock and roll has been lacking for decades is a recording titled "Summertime Blues 2"

In the grand scheme this is not the most important thing that happened today.

But "protesters eagerly sift through the equipment and papers left behind by the regime's routed elite security forces" historically happens at a much later stage of regime collapse than this.

You’re right—swallowing the bird was a half-measure. The bird did eat the spider, as planned, but now you have a bird in you. It reminds you of swallowing the spider to catch the fly. You’re seeing the pattern.

Would you like me to suggest some animals which could eat the bird?

The United States of America is announcing that its objective is to kill you, yes, you.
The fact that the Trump administration looks at a video where the victims final words are “I’m not mad at you” and the shooter seems to say “fucking bitch” after killing her, and thinks, yeah, this looks good for him, is amazing.

"the full wrath of American justice" what a deeply disappointing day to be a human participant in what was supposed to be civilization
Attorney General Bondi says Venezuela's Maduro and his wife have been indicted and "will soon face the full wrath of American justice."

I didn't go to law school. Can someone please tell me what the Constitution or federal statutes say about "wrath" being a principle of the justice system?
