New Jersey's most merciless spotted lanternfly hunter / Please don't do in the news nothing about me / Mets doomsayer / @ me if we were at the same concert / not your lawyer / talk about the weather, or how the weather used to be
Went to the record store for the first time in over a year, got 13 used albums 10% off for Small Business Saturday. Also realizing I've not updated discogs with any of the records I bought at shows or by mail in the past year, I mostly use to avoid getting duplicates!

I love going to hardcore and heavy music shows of bands I've never heard of. Also, the house music between sets all night has been mid-2000s southern club rap.

This opening act Modern Shakes who will be playing fest next month were so good. We come all the way from Long Island and bassist is wearing a Taking Back Sunday t-shirt.

I saw Oso Oso on the $10 Bill Tour last night in NJ. It celebrated 10 years of the band, and sticking to the theme, he/they're in my top 10 Long Island artists of all time, and top 10 bands I was blessed to see rising in their scene. Jade said maybe in 20 years they'll have a $30 tour. #laterskeets

I was lucky to see Prong play 31 years of Cleansing tonight, the only such date outside of Europe, and I think only in New York do they play a setlist like this. Undeniably one of the best NYC heavy metal albums ever, and imo the best groove metal album ever. Loudest 3-piece I've seen in a long time

The Wu-Tang Clan: The Final Chamber and Run The Jewels. First time I've seen Wu since Rock the Bells 2009, that was a special era of hip-hop to live in, I got this spiritual closure tonight I didn't know I needed. They brought out Lauryn Hill and Mary J Blige. The whole crowd knows RTJ songs, too.

The best soccer ticket I've ever had, unfortunately the New York Red Bulls don't know how to puck up a man on defense

Oh, I went to Connetquot River State Park Preserve a week ago, one of Long Island's hidden treasures

It's been more than 30 years since I bought Bad Hair Day, seeing Weird Al tonight at Madison Square Garden is fulfilling a dream of seeing one of my most formative favorites

What soccer teams does The Gaslight Anthem support? There are 3, and I only recognize Celtic FC.

Thank goodness the new owners of Blue Point Brewery have revived a disgusting Long Island tradition.

Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers opening for Pearl Jam tonight, I'm impressed with the stage presence and crowd control in an arena of a relatively young band I only heard of this month (even if I disliked the name after I was confused as to how Teenage Jesus and The Jerks were playing)

That is not a fact. Dowd told the Post in 2002 that it is "probably right" that Rose bet on the Reds. The fact is that Rose accepted permanently ineligible status, for some reason, before the investigation could determine if there was evidence that he bet against the Reds.

Of all the bands I've ever gotten really into, The Number Twelve Looks Like You of the great Bergen County, New Jersey might be the one I'd just never try to convince someone to check out. You dig it or you don't. There's not a comparison that makes it click. Most kickass set I've seen in 5 years.

Today I learned that the first hovercraft was invented by a New Jersey man in the '50s and it was so good that he couldn't get a patent on because the Pentagon didn't want how it worked to be published. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles...
