I was sent to weekly forced indoctrination ("Sunday School") where they taught me "Though Shalt Not Kill" without qualification, and now those same people cheer vociferously for violence committed by the state while lamenting dwindling church attendance.

I left the faith a couple of decades ago, but I am taking careful note of which Christians are on the right side of history for future reference
can u imagine being not only a baptized christian but an ordained priest and then, when NPR asks you about the Bishop of New Hampshire's comments last week, what you find to say is "I didn't sign up to be a martyr"??

Anecdata: MAGA family are frothing at the mouth, I think they're literally planning to turn us in. I am trying very hard to have a measured interpretation of all of this, but our society is splitting in two and some people we expected to come around will actually do the opposite.

Very curious what the long-term ripple effects of this ICE occupation will be. Many very privileged people have stepped up to prevent their own government from disappearing their non-white neighbors and have now confronted inequalities and social problems they never would have experienced firsthand.

Call it what it is. Door to door concentration camp round ups. You know when the full record comes to light there *will* be horrifying degrees of intentional genocide of non-whites in ICE facilities due if nothing else to over crowding. It is happening.
