Got my new bag from @bibiblossoms.bsky.social on Sunday, just in time to use it for work Monday. Love having the flexibility of messenger or backpack, and it's JUST big enough to fit my laptop for work.

It all started in 1955 with a misprint in a Colorado newspaper and a call to Col. Harry Shoup's secret military hotline. Shoup played along with the tiny voice who called, and a tradition was born.

Me: I should probably eat healthier and lose some weight.
Also me: it's 9pm and I'm ordering some fucking ice cream because I'm on vacation and December is an emotional rollercoaster.🍨

I mean yeah it’s an authoritarian takeover but can we take some comfort in the fact that the people doing it are INSANELY stupid?

Any president who goes through an MRI and lies about the reason to the press should not be making decisions for the United States for a *variety* of reasons.

Not a lawyer, but I feel it could be argued that someone using it in that manner could be in a state of mind incapable of agreeing to legal terms. Companies being able to bury ANYTHING into tos to go "not it!" is such bullshit.

Sooo...I know it's says 24 cups doesn't take up much space, but what area are we talking about? (Equiv of 2 half gallon cartons...more?) Asking for a friend with a small, poorly designed, and usually crammed full freezer. 😅

Every single Democratic senator that votes to cave on this should be immediately ejected from the party, and the national party should immediately start running primary candidates in their districts.

There is no bipartisanship possible with traitors and fascists. You either fight, or die.

Do. Not. Cave. Make the Republicans deliver on their end before voting to reopen or on the CR.

DO.
NOT.
CAVE.

I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

This is why Chuck has NO REASON to come back to the table. Let them twist. If you're coming back with wins this big during a shutdown, the people know where their bread is buttered. Don't throw them a lifeline. These aren't tiny margin wins. They're blowouts.

What a garbage human being.

A few days ago, Hank Green posted a breakdown of all the cross-funding. I already had little doubt of this mirroring a dotcom-like bubble, but when it bursts....yikes. youtu.be/Q0TpWitfxPk?...

Our federal tax dollars are being used to fund a network of government social media accounts that pump out disinformation 24/7. Even during a government shutdown. It’s definitely not essential work.
