Yes! This (often) works well for badly written exams in general.
Certification exams for my job are HORRIBLY designed, awful, we all despise them. So far I've been able to pass them all 1st try with this approach, honed over decades.
God, yes. The SAT prep book they gave us in the prep class in high school (it was that kind of school district) was the first to ever explicitly say to me "you are not supposed to choose the correct answer, you are supposed to choose the answer the test maker thinks is correct". Mind: blown!

I read this book at least quarterly.
Into the Drowning Deep by @seananmcguire.bsky.social is on sale for $2.99 digitally. It's one of my favorite books. It makes Mermaids horrifyingly fascinating!

Black Friday reminder - that product with a great price being sold by a company with a name that's just a bunch of random letters may end up on our website someday because it explodes.

Anybody who is like “Piracy is activism!”—trust me, supporting your local library is about 1000% more effective activism, and it’s still free for you and authors still get paid!

If you ever wonder why people say "slippery as an eel" I can confirm that one time we had to hold an eel for a vet to do a blood draw and that eel ended up on the floor 47 times out of 48 attempts

🐺, apparently
Whereas the top wolves are basically just acting like parents and making sure everybody’s got food and letting the cubs crawl all over them.

Honestly, the most wolf-like people around are mom friends and the dads who check your oil and sneak jumper cables into your trunk.

The best therapist I ever had used cognitive behavioral therapy and the basis of his approach was
1) you cannot control feelings
2) you can control your behavior, including your conscious thoughts
3) you can learn to consciously identify cognitive distortions of your feelings *and not act on them*

I accidentally drowned my first fuyu persimmon tree by over watering in heavy clay. I'm hoping my 2nd attempt will go better with lessons learned 1st time around.
(Do a better job actually amending the soil this time)
Anyway, it'll cost less than buying all the persimmons I'd want to eat (KILOS).
not the point but fuyu persimmons for $3.99/ea is a great price for the growers, hot damn
My Very Dear Ones,

I write to you from near the front lines of war ravaged Portland.

@ksonney.redwombat.social.ap.brid.gy Hi!
Somehow I thought that the "rent a chick" 2 week visit would be temporary and here we are, 2 days later, researching coops. IF you have time, can you recommend a decent starter chicken coop? We're in SC, so heat is more of a concern than killing winters.
