Victims will be living in terror that their private details could be among a cache of hacked medical information, advocate Claire Buckley says.

I spoke with Khalil just now, his children haven't eaten in two days. Any donation, no matter how small will make a difference. I've just donated US$5 (a little over NZ$7 with the current exchange rate), can you match that?

If you're wondering about doing something in your community, we always need more affordable housing and better cycling and pedestrian amenities; maybe just start cleaning the local creek, make sure people are enrolled to vote etc etc. Solid communities matter.

I shared this yesterday, but something I have found really helpful is getting out into my community and focusing on local advocacy issues. I realize not everyone can do this, but being part of something productive around issues I care about is the perfect antidote to the despair I am feeling.
Rough vibes on this website today, likely because people feel Hopeless and Helpless Because Can't Stop It and No One Who Is Supposed To Is Trying To So Now We're Fighting Each Other™. I recommend activities such as book, or potentially instrument if you like instrument, or even do talk on phone.

The hackers say they will leak more than 400,000 files if a ransom isn't paid, in what an expert says is "the worst data breach that I recall seeing in New Zealand".

In this era we can also act global by $ supporting those who are suffering the most from the oppression of the USA empire.
Congo, Sudan, Palestine all are dependent on our help.

Attention anyone with a NactF MP.
Ask not what your representative will do for you (nothing), ask how you can make your representative so miserable they quit their job
My attitude on this is that I'm not calling them because I think I can change their minds.

I'm calling them because it is unthinkable to let them do this without hearing how evil and awful they are.

My spite powers me. If I can get just 500 people a day to join me, we could fuck up their day.

So Monday congress comes back in session. On the agenda:
-An illegal war
-Epstein files still hidden
-Jack Smith's testimony
-Millions lose their medical coverage

The first 3 should be articles of impeachment and the fourth should be a political death warrant for a party.

There's a lot that's different in AoNZ but the basic idea is the same: think global, act local.
Local advocacy is more important than ever. It's overwhelming to think about how to fix [motions to everything] but I can make it safer for seniors to cross the street, for kids to bike to school, for people to have places to meet in public space... all of which build and strengthen our democracy.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

Anyone want this lovely wee dress that needs a new home?
Dear Aotearoa Bluesky,

This [handmade] dress needs a new home! Would anyone like it? I'm not looking to sell here, I just want it to be ✨✨loved✨✨.
The fabric is cotton with about 20% polyester (❌). That's its ONLY drawback and why I can't wear it - I will remake with a different, better fabric.

hey @stuff.co.nz stealing another country's oil isn't an economic vision. It's theft.
Just to be clear;President Pig,the "anti war" president, has:

* bombed another country without UN mandate
* killed its citizens in extrajudicial killings
* invaded that country
* kidnapped the leader & his wife

President Pig is totally out of control
