It's been rumored for a bit they would leave mid-November. It's not the weather, just the natural lifespan of a ~225 person operation.
Before Border Patrol arrived, ICE was still here. They were smashing cars to pull people out of them, taking people from court and check-in appointments, etc.

Bovino left LA to come to Chicago and it's not like LA saw immigration operations stop - just less showboating from his crew. So even if these circulating rumors over the last week turn out real, I'm pessimistic about how much change to expect on the ground.

On Wednesday, Conde Nast management illegally fired four union leaders. While our union fights these illegal dismissals, the “Fired Four” have been left with no severance or COBRA coverage. Please donate to help cover their living expenses at the link below.

#BREAKING U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis in Chicago is entering a preliminary injunction governing the use of force against protesters and journalists.
Ellis, apparently wrapping up, is quoting George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and others.

Just so Chicago knows, CPD and several alders are pinning their out of control overtime costs on protests. One alder said if we want to save money people should stop protesting.

Omg my sibling and I would start the game up just to let the commentary play! Also I’d be more interested in baseball if players doing well caught on fire and could leap 50ft into the air.
Still need more baseball?
We found a CD in our archives containing dozens of unused voice lines from MLB Slugfest 20-03 rejected by the MLB. Here's some of our favorites.

One thing that sucks about living in a transphobic world is the lack of trans role models. It’s hard to imagine what my life could look like in 10-20years bc the trans representation isn’t there. Trans youth deserve role models, especially smart ones who took their concerns seriously like Lex/TV did
today’s information came out piecemeal, and people should be able to share their own situations on their own time, but I could share this much ^ as it is pretty cut and dry on the facts.
Teen Vogue also no longer has any trans staffers as of today.

Teen Vogue took young people seriously. It's impossible to overstate how important, how rare, and how profoundly needed that is.

Someone give Lex $2 million so they can launch a politics version of Teen Vogue. Do it now. No strings attached.

This absolutely sucks. I’ve been enjoying Teen Vogue’s political stuff for years! I was literally just encouraging my 15 y/o cousin to check it out. Where can young people go to make sense of a world that’s seemingly falling apart before they’ve hit adulthood?
