Overall mortality in unvaccinated individuals was roughly 50% HIGHER. The advantage held EVEN AFTER removing coronavirus-related deaths from the mix.

The study has been published in JAMA. YES, it is PEER-REVIEWED.

Well now, would you look at that? A massive, 4-YEAR-LONG study of NEARLY 30 MILLION people in France found that individuals who received a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine had a 74% LOWER risk of death from severe COVID-19 compared to unvaccinated individuals and ZERO increased risk of all-cause mortality.

I really, really hope everyone posting about having a cold or the flu feels better soon, but I really, really, REALLY hope you're all testing for Covid. Even if it wouldn't change how you treat yourself, it could make a difference in how dangerous you are to others. Please test & isolate if needed!

Rogan is a genuine public health threat. People dismiss him by saying he’s just indiscriminate or not careful but I disagree. I think he knows exactly what he’s doing and we should say that out loud.
Not only is he confusing measles and chickenpox… he’s also pushing a eugenics agenda.

He’s claiming if you die from measles it’s because you’re “already sick”.

First, that’s not true. Many healthy children died from measles.

Second, sick people deserve protection too.

Believe it or not, I've even seen what amount to fake agents, who aren't properly vetted by smaller writer conferences and they have zero clients but make some money pretending to be, basically, and doing talks and workshops at a level low enough to avoid detection.
Ok, since this has come up four times in the last three days:

REPUTABLE LITERARY AGENTS WILL NOT CHARGE YOU MONEY.

IF A LITERARY AGENT WANTS TO CHARGE YOU FOR AN "EXPEDITED ACCESS PACKAGE" THIS IS A SCAM.

By treating constituent problems as urgent and solvable, Zohran Mamdani is answering a strangely radical question: What if everyday government services actually worked?

Literally one of the reasons I’m skeptical of gAI is because I’m a historian and technology is one of the things I study, but also who looks at the recent history of Silicon Valley and trusts a single word they tell us
Hoverboards are the future, segways are the future, betamax, laser disc, Google glass is the future, 3d tvs are the future, curved screens are the future.

Like do we have to traipse through the whole graveyard of tech to get these people to understand just becauae you say it doesn't make it true.

There's a very good reason that pasteurization is the gold standard for milk & other dairy products.

Raw milk has no significant benefits over pasteurized milk and many significant risks!

This tracks with my experience. DHS made up stories like this in Chicago, too. Every story ICE told about being attacked by community members was debunked in court. To assume anything they say is even potentially credible is irresponsible and out of touch with reality.
Re: the ICE actions in south Minneapolis Monday. DHS said "rioters" attacked officers with rocks and pepper spray. Note: I received lots of evidence and didn't see any rocks, the only pepper spray I saw was ICE agents sometimes spraying each other. I did see snow and possibly ice being thrown. (1)

Unbelievable. This would be a terrible blow to American science, writ large. It would decimate not only climate research, but also the kind of weather, wildfire, and disaster research that has underpinned half a century of progress in prediction, early warning, and increased resilience.

Public housing authorities have an incredibly difficult mission. Their tenants are always poor, and often disabled or suffering from the worst things life can throw at you. It's not easy to be their landlord.

But you simply don't have to fail as hard and spectacularly as MPHA has.

Failure of management, failure of mission.
On Monday 12/15/25 MPHA filed 30 evictions, and its affiliated entity Community Housing Resources filed 12 evictions.
