Added a new feature to show how your precinct ranks for each electoral race in the city, from 0-100 percentile sea2025election.alternative6.org

For example, 43-1992 Broadmoor is the perfect right-wing precinct, whereas 37-1935 Beacon Hill / Mount Baker transition is much more moderate.

Universities will keep sexual predators on the faculty because their "hands are tied by tenure." Turns out protesting genocide is all it takes to loosen those unshakable chains.

I should really do a real bike ride today, or at least run some errands, but the wind has me questioning that as every ride will involve a headwind for multiple miles.

Who'd have guessed that making transit more convenient and useful might get them to use it over cars.

I feel like we see surveys like this every few years and cities continue to cut transit and then wonder why no one takes it.
What would incentivize you to leave your car at home? In the Oregon travel survey, the top 5 answers all related to better transit service.

Only 44% of people in Portland Metro said nothing would get them out of their car.

According to survey data from the DOJ itself, incarcerated trans Americans experience sexual violence at more than 12x the rate of other incarcerated people.

The plans outlined in the memo effectively greenlight discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people who are already disproportionately at risk.

The King County Auditor recommended that Metro consider replacements for its trip planner, and they did, finding that an open-source planner would provide better functionality for riders and save the county staff time.

It's not moving forward due to staff limitations at the county's IT department.

Why does it take longer to complete a set of bus upgrades than it took to put a human being on the moon?

A report commissioned by the King County Council and released this fall spells out a long answer to that question

Seattle Monorail: People are using our silly retro train as actual transit. This must be stopped.
In this section, it sounds like SMS was being subsidized by the City for $100-$200k per year due to the impact of free internal transfers. And if the cost exceeded $200k for a few years, they would stop offering free internal transfers.

Y'all, they stopped free transfers because we were using them.

All our work on replicability in the last decade has taught me that it's not a good use of resources to try and predict replicability in the first place since it's neither a good goal to achieve nor diagnostic of specific problems. It's a search for shortcuts, easy answers to complex questions.
There are many good arguments for why AI/ML will struggle to predict replicability.

I'm curious why, in light of these arguments and now data, COS is continuing to pursue this project.
