I agree with this.

When activists barricaded the Fed Building, ICE didn't return to immigration court for days

When they suddenly required people to check in on a weekend, the community showed up. They only took appointments for a few hours then didn't show up at all the next day

They're cowards
The resistance against ICE is having an effect. Dozens of armed agents deployed along with a helicopter, resulting in ... two kidnappings.
Helicopters.

Armed troops wearing masks.

All for a freaking military-grade raid at a flea market that appears to have resulted in two measly arrests.

DHS and ICE are out of control.

Don't listen to Mayor Bruce Harrell or SPOG President Solan - the electoral process worked exactly as intended.
There Was Nothing Unusual About Seattle’s Election, or the Results
There was nothing odd, wrong, or suspicious about Seattle’s election results. They sure felt slow, but they weren’t. Someone tell that to outgoing Mayor Bruce Harrell and Seattle Police Officer’s Guil...

Instead of ordering from Amazon, I found a supplier that's over 30% cheaper

The only catch is that I have to show up at a random intersection in South Seattle to pick it up.

The instructions tell me not to approach until the truck has departed.

I live outside the Seattle city limits, but this has motivated me to visit downtown more often and support the city in a positive way.

Mike Solan, SPD guild president, issued a statement openly questioning the validity of the votes for Katie Wilson.

Solan's embrace of the far right & SPD's history of aggression could make a dangerous situation if the national guard is sent to #Seattle.

Katie Wilson co-founded the Transit Riders Union, an activist group that has been heavily involved in Seattle metro politics for 14 years. she is responsible for things like minimum wage increases, progressive business taxes, and a low income transit payment card

This sounds a lot like a certain D1 city council candidate from 2023 who liked to say that she grew up poor even though her family operated a business and her grandparents OWNED A GROCERY STORE.
And the second thing that comes to mind is that it's weird to claim that living in a house your parents own that has one bathroom is a description of poverty most people can't imagine. Many of us had working-class families and couldn't have gone to school without scholarships.

I don't think "I grew up poor" (i.e. working-class) means you automatically understand what it's like to be a young or not-so-young renter in a city where houses cost a million dollars and rent never stops going up and up. This is why people liked Katie Wilson—she knows what it's like to live here.

All of this is in service of calling it "offensive" to suggest he doesn't understand what it's like to be, say, 35 and unable to afford a one-bedroom apartment in Seattle. Of course it's not offensive, and it has always been incredibly weird (and defensive) that he responds this way.

Still watching Mayor Bruce Harrell's speech in segments. The way he gets mad (and always has) when anyone asks whether he understands how hard it is for regular people to afford to live here is so telling.

Hes a sore loser and since nobody concedes anymore you get to be a sour asshole on your way out.

OK, "misunderstanding" is the wrong word here. There's a purposeful disinformation campaign from right wingers in WA to sow doubt about our elections. I honestly can't believe @mayorofseattle.bsky.social Harrell would say something like this, especially after the good stuff he said prior.

Woah, what the hell was that? Bruce just said that there are people telling him not to concede because there were "anomalies." That's a wild and irresponsible thing to say.

Mayor Brucey, now that Seattle voted to established a new Social Housing Developer, what is your proposal for funding it?

Exactly this. Katie Wilson has done more for the city of Seattle on policy than Bruce Harrell has 12 years on city council and 4 years as mayor. It was her JumpStart Tax proposal that saved Harrell’s budget this year.
I can't believe Seattle would elect someone with only 15 years experience organizing successful local legislation campaigns.

I'm posting a lot today to make up for months of not being able to post publicly about what I've actually been working on for most of this year.

Well, it's all public record now as a PDC complaint!

It's 40 pages long.

You gotta give it to Outgoing Mayor Brucey.

He's so committed to sweeps to that he swept himself out of office.
