This tiny quilt (32” x 48”) is officially my favorite thing I ever made 😊 It incorporates my love of scraps & color theory in a way that feels very ME. It was a very challenging puzzle I enjoyed. I will pursue this technique further! #QuiltSky
Mom has mostly terrific neighbors like this 17 year old who has been playing cello for mom since he was tiny:

Mom lives on a cul de sac on a hill comprised of an upper terrace & a lower terrace, each about four car lengths & not very wide. The upper terrace folks (2 Victorian houses comprising 4 condos) order snowplow services & ask the two lower terrace houses to chip in as we are connected to the street.

Up since 3, what is this terrible energy? Yesterday i used it to start clearing clutter & clean but I don’t need this vibe when I’m trying to sleep 😩 and later this morning I have to get mom bathed which is so exhausting for her, and me tbh. Bleh

Swept, scrubbed, set back to rights. This is where the caregiver sits during his shifts so I’m sure he’ll be glad to have his space back after being displaced by a tree for 5 weeks

Anyone else taking their holiday tree down today?

Love to spend the first day of this new year arguing with the neighbors over snowplowing!

$100 away from this mortgage payment! bless you if you can help or share
My family needs groceries and I don't currently have a job to support them. I need some help.

If you're able to kick in a few bucks this holiday season, it means bills can stay paid and food can stay on the table.

Gofundme below. I'm thiiirdperson with three i's on Cashapp Kofi Venmo and Paypal.

Ok #Quiltsky hive mind, what classic traditional blocks come to mind for using these graduated Christmas colors? My first thought was Lemoyne star, but what else? I will add more fabrics, but what’s an obvious starting point, in your opinion?

I can finally show the Christmas quilt I made for the fancy family Yankee swap! Our nephew won it 😊 This one was a puzzle to use up certain scraps, took me awhile to figure it out but I did! Very satisfying.

Every year I try to pick a word to focus on, (FWIW I couldn’t think of one for 2025, garbage year.) Prior years have been LIGHT, COLOR. This year my word suddenly appeared out of the fog: MORALE. I think it’s greatly under-appreciated & I aim to foster it as often as possible in even tiny ways.

US citizens don't want home healthcare jobs. Not because they don't care about the elderly. But because the jobs are underpaid, overworked, and exploitative.

Take Sylvia, a mom I interviewed who took a home healthcare job because it was her only option, then left it as soon as she could. 1/🧵
The largest generation in U.S. history is in their 70s now. And Stephen Miller’s podcaster wife thinks it’s suspicious that there’s a huge surge in home health aides.

Deleted my last post about tidying because I used the wrong phrase. I will be tidying as long as I have the urge in this coming new year.
