Spreadsheets are my love language and I think white supremacy is stupid. West coast girl living in New England. Recovering teacher. My dog is the best dog.

I’ll end up in a Trump camp at some point. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Opinions are mine, and *sometimes* they’re satire.

I spent several years teaching in a locked-down juvenile detention facility and one thing I am good at is eviscerating the incel/tough-guy types.

Lesson #1 in handling an incel: DOMINATE HIM, but stay calm while doing it.

He says “your body my choice”? You post:

Their political philosophy hinges on a vision of white supremacy in which people who aren’t white are here at the privilege of white people, which they can revoke at any time, which they expect to be received with gratitude.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I look at somebody who comes from Somalia...and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. 'The Constitution says this, the Constitution says that.' The whole thing is crazy."

what if the firehose of fascist shit isn't wiping out the memory of the electorate? what if it's just hitting different things? and idk it seems like a persisting problem to me that dems aren't in lockstep with and fully tied to no kings, possibly the biggest social movement in american history

I do think this is a point of radicalization because a lot of angry, angry normal people were ready to dig in and suffer a lot in order to make fascists suffer a little, and their resolution was sold out and made into a mockery

The point of having a standards editor is that you bring in a skilled, disinterested person to read or watch a story and point out possible bias, errors and lapses.

The actual story editors can miss those things because they're so closely tied to the production and reporting of the piece.
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

We're the ones paying the bill.
Whose lives are on the line.
Who are being abducted and deported.
Who keep showing up to fight ICE
We are the 7+ million who showed up and then voted

Get rid of Schumer.
Clean your house, get it in order, then listen.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

I think a number of press outlets badly want there to be a groundswell of anti-trans feeling, because the ownership/senior editorial of those papers have absolutely cooked their own brains on transphobia. It seems to be largely an elite psychosis!
the harris campaign said the “they/them” ad didn’t sway the election.

one of the trump campaign’s top strategists this week said trans rights isn’t in the top five issues for swing voters.

when will the press stop talking about us like we’re a liability and start looking itself in the mirror

Not that anyone here needs to hear this, but for the record, in a democracy "people voted differently from the way I expected or hoped" does not constitute evidence of fraud, no matter how many pretty charts and graphs of "voting patterns" you make.

So, next week I'm presenting a paper at APPAM about a key difference between people's intuition of voter fraud and how fraud actually plays out.

This follows extremely close elections in 2000, 2004, 2016, 2020 and 2024 that lead to conspiracy theories about electoral manipulation.
