I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

The charges against Prof. Willoughby-Herard were finally dropped yesterday. She courageously defended UCI students against police stifling dissent against Israel's genocide in Gaza. I am inspired by her courage and honored to have represented her in this case. Solidarity with those who fight.
This professor, Dr. Tiffany Willoughby-Herard, along with some of her colleagues and students, are still facing charges for protesting Israel's genocide of Palestinians at UC Irvine.

People of color are the majority in LA, where race deeply informs life and death. Several national publications can’t publish black or brown writers because they push out us of their newsrooms or never hire us to begin with – which is also intimately tied to what’s happening in LA and the nation.

Randy Foster has worked at New Seasons for 19 years. At 1:30pm today mgmt fired him for “violating Oregon break laws.” His infraction, helping a blind coworker close out his till while on lunch break. By 3:15 his coworkers walked out the Arbor Lodge store demanding reinstatement.
