I love to torture myself seeking fine-grained understanding of events over which I have no control.
I've been working on this '96 Japanese-made sunburst Jazzmaster since I got it in 2017, I think. It came with '60s reissue pickups and a USA trem. I've replaced the tune-o-matic with a JM bridge, put on the mint guard, gotoh vintage tuners, red and blue MXR knobs. Got a vintage white strap. #guitar

This also outlines how the weaponisation of Islamophobia by Western elites is conditional. Mamdani, a social liberal and left-of-centre economically, is accused of planning sharia in NYC while, ex Al Qaeda, al-Sharaa and butcher MBS, actual proponents of sharia, are treated as moderates.
One is a former al-Qaeda leader, the other a US mayor. Guess which was invited to the White House
Trump’s world order: praising Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa as an ‘attractive guy’, while disparaging the first Muslim mayor of New York as a ‘lunatic communist’.

The rapid build out of clean energy will be far cheaper for South Africa in the long-term. But it requires electricity to be considered a national resource like water - with changes to law to coordinate a fractured system of regulation and provision.

The conclusion of a new landmark study shows that economic efficiency and climate ambition are not in conflict but mutually reinforcing, writes Chris Yelland.

Yes, the Democratic Party (DNC &/or "mainstream Democrats") is as invested in white male supremacist patriarchy as the GOP.

Their goal is attaining & retaining power, just like the GOP, & there are NO principles they won't betray to achieve that.

I’m an outsider, so maybe I’m wrong. But my impression is that Americans don’t emphasise enough that most Democratic politicians are in the investor class that benefits from Republican policies. To me it’s more than just pleasing campaign donors. They benefit from their voters’ impoverishment.

a huge amount of labour mps are landlords.
The Labour Party - and Steve Reed - is completely out of touch with reality.

Landlords don't build homes; they drive up prices and suck away our wages. Housing should be a right, not a commodity.

Abolish landlords.
House everyone.
