Union elections plummeted last year after Trump gutted the NLRB — while the cost of living soars and corporate profits hit record highs.

Unions are the key to taking on corporate power and increasing working people’s standard of living.

No wonder Trump wants to eradicate them.

The Crespo family was seized in a parking lot by agents in Portland OR as the parents arrived at urgent care seeking medical attention for their 7yo daughter Diana.

The Crespos have pending asylum applications and both have legal work permits.
I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

It’s a long read, but I laughed so hard I cried, really. I really lost it at the part about inspecting her own milk. I did a read aloud to my husband so we could both laugh.
I need to share this with my friend who worked as a goat inseminator in New Jersey.
Could one person replace the federal services targeted by Donald Trump? @petridishes.bsky.social was determined to try. Inside her five-month quest to monitor the weather, track inflation, and inspect milk for harmful microorganisms:

News was slow to reach me of the death of Barbara G. Walker, pillar of the world of knitting as author of the "Treasury of Knitting Patterns" series, "Knitting from the Top," et al (still in print thanks to Schoolhouse Press ), and originator of slip-slip-knit.

I mentioned her..

The article is interesting, but I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the word fiend as a verb.

What's the difference between states like Florida, where ICE arrests are sky-high, and states like Illinois with much lower rates of arrests? It's all about police & jails.

Arrest rates out of homes, workplaces, etc are similar – but reining in sheriffs makes all the difference.
