A quick update on Brian's case:

The defense team successfully pushed back on the government's protective order request, which means the evidence in the case can be made public.

Also, the trial date was set for May 26. We anticipate additional pretrial motions to be filed in the coming weeks.

This needs to be at the top of every story about the ICE body-cam thing. They already have body cameras.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I'd like to think Judge Perry was really talking to all of us when she told Brian's lawyer today: "Your indignation is noted for the record."

DOJ lies.
DHS lies.
ICE lies.

That has been established. Do not repeat their claims as fact. Their claims are arguments or, often, misleading propaganda — when not outright lies.

They are seeking to make a case for their lawlessness (and to please Trump), not seeking to inform.

You can't build a society around "everyone should have a gun to feel safe" and then use the presence of a gun on a person's body (if there was one) as a free-pass for executions.

Reminder: DHS has lied after every single shooting, in big and obvious ways.

After Border Patrol Agent Charles Exum shot Marimar Martinez five times they claimed she was "armed with a semi-automatic weapon." In reality, they later found a handgun in her purse.

Dear media covering Homeland Security's killing of a woman in Minneapolis,
Homeland Security has routinely lied about violence against the public. It was caught lying repeatedly in Chicago. A federal judge determined that Homeland Security lied.
Share any government statements with that context.
