Short Straw had a morning he'll never forget. Not only did he get to play catch with @nico_hoerner of the @cubs but he got to spend sometime chatting with the Gold Glove 2nd baseman after Hoerner borrowed Short's glove. (@FlexWorkSports)

Last week in an 11th hour move, IHSA decided 5 Kenwood Academy basketball players, including 3 seniors, were ineligible to play in the state tournament.

We said goodbye to our beloved puppy girl today. Brian and I adopted Scout when she was only 8 weeks old, about 3 months after we got married. She's been my buddy and guard dog since.

And this morning he was chosen by the opposing team as Player of the Game for his team after pitching 2 pressure-filled innings to preserve the win and take his team to the semifinals (which we lost after a great game).
