Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents.

I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.

President Trump claimed the National Guard was needed in "war-ravaged" Portland. But a @propublica.org review of protests in the months leading up to his claims -- including more than 700 (!!) videos -- show a different reality.

In the two months before Trump’s decision, criminal charges were announced against only three people. On nights when physical conflict did erupt, it often came from police firing on, shoving, pepper-s...

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

what a statement.
Ellis: Agents should stay far away from children on Halloween.

Greg Bovino, the Border Patrol chief in charge of operations in Chicago, told a judge today the government needs more time to submit use-of-force reports to the court because of the "sheer volume" of reports
Ellis orders Border Patrol to submit, under seal, all of the use of force incidents in Chicago by the end of the day.

She also wants all of the body-worn camera footage.

Bovino says the "sheer volume" of the reports makes that impossible.
