Watching Kirk Herbstreit talk about how great the selection committee’s picks were this year, in a way completely devoid of logic, reminds me of that great Ohio State education he received. #cfp

The shameless GOP lying about the No Kings gatherings scheduled for next Saturday reveals how deeply hostile much of the Republican Party is to “the right of the people peaceably to assemble.” I look forward to our local No Kings event, and urge my fellow Americans to attend in their communities.

I spoke with a new college grad just hired as an elementary school STEM teacher. Shortly after accepting the job, she found out that she was responsible for the care and feeding of the school chickens over the summer (unpaid, of course). #PayTeachersMoreMoney

As far as I know, even the Nazis didn't come up with the idea of sharing footage from concentration camp to fulfill the sadistic desires of their supporters. German High Command kept that for their own private viewing.

Trump says that any American who shows “dissension” against MAGA should be “immediately ejected” from their member of Congress’ town halls.

This is fascism.

America will continue giving away money and respect on the world stage until we unify enough to end the circus.

Measles is not trending on Bluesky. But it's quickly spreading in the US. Likely way more cases than the 600+ the CDC reported last Friday. Why do I think that? Well, measles kills on average 1 per 1000. We've seen 3 deaths. It is highly likely that we're undercounting this tightly knit community.

Marco Rubio just made the argument, bold faced, not a mistake an intentional statement, that at any time the US can revoke your visa and then you are instantly here illegally and they can arrest you, deport you, torture you, all without any due process.

That means the United States is simply unsafe

Snowden discussed the enormous potential for turn key tyranny w/ his leaks in 2013. I’ve always been hyper vigilant about everything, but I wonder if those that thought it ok to trust government to spy on citizens in 2013 when Obama was POTUS still feel the same way now.

I just want to know why Pete Hegseth has yet to show up before a camera -- whatever the cause of the accident, the Black Hawk would have had more ability to avert it.

Was he drunk in a gutter when this went down?
Think about this and how Fox and the GOP would politicize an Army helicopter crashing into a commercial airplane days after a Black woman president tried to gut air safety & installed the least qualified man ever as Defense Secretary.

THAT is the degree to which Dems should politicize this crash.
The head of the FAA, Mike Whitaker, resigned on January 20 — one year into his 5 year term — after facing relentless criticism from Musk for not approving SpaceX missions quickly enough.

The Senate confirmed him unanimously in 2023.

No acting FAA head has been appointed.
