If anyone wants to read incredible writing about this topic please follow @matthewstoller.bsky.social . He has been passionately, articulately, and concisely (ok, maybe not always concisely :) writing about this before most people understood what was happening. His perspectives are a treasure.

Hard to believe all of these reporters are stupid and can’t grasp what’s going on. I’d imagine those who pay them insist and incentive them to not report the truth. The lack of people willing to do the right thing is an affliction in the US that impacts the country at both micro and macro levels.

All you have to do is read the article in the Times today about 12 new Trump voters from this election to know this approach won’t work. Those people are too dense to be reasoned with. Carlin was right when he said the government wants to keep the electorate stupid. They have & oligarchs benefit.

If a college has a field with a 1,000 seat capacity & Team A has an average attendance of 1,000 (sell out) and Team B has an average attendance of 100 (10% capacity), why would ticket prices be the same for both? Tickets for Team A come with greater demand. Team B needs to incentivize fans to come.

Is supply and demand not the obvious answer?
