Follower of Christ, husband, father... I've served on the school board and the deacon board and believe we're only going to fix things by making genuine, local connections with people who disagree with us.
I've been in this head space for a while, but couldn't articulate it properly. It makes me think of my parents; devout Catholics with committed left-of-center political leanings. JFK/RFK (senior) democrats.

This is why I haven't completely given up on all white evangelical Christians. Many of them, but not all. Those of us who have those connections need to keep asking those questions and speaking truth in love. It's not at all easy, but it's very necessary.

Ironically Miller, Vought, & Co are hastening the demise of the rule of old, white men in America. This regime will collapse one day (nothing built on lies, corruption, & cruelty can last). The country that rises from the ashes will likely reflect all of the things that they hate.

Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods.
Family.
Loyalty.
Grit.
The regime will be desperate to control the narrative around the 4th, and that has to happen in Philly. Sadly, their toolbox is full of lies, cruelty, and violence.
