It doesn’t take much. Just love each other and our planet every day as you love yourself. A little more respect for all living creatures, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the soil that gives us the food we eat.
This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo

Last year, we made the decision to step away from X.

The Royal Irish Academy is committed to creating, convening, and sharing knowledge for the public good and as an organisation we value Independence; Integrity; Curiosity; Openness and Rigour.

In our view, X no longer aligns with these values

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

I mean, look at him.

It's early, but this may be my book of the year.

Thorough research, approachable writing, compelling narratives. It's more than a book about Great Lakes seafaring; it's a book about people and the things they endure together.

I've been saying for a long time that sports betting will be the next crisis to hit. ESPN is at the top of the list, along with the NFL owners and broadcasters, in pushing gambling 24/7 to young men. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

For a year, Wall Street’s dominant theme has been the so-called K-shaped economy, in which the well-to-do have powered financial activity despite lower earners’ struggles.

For me, one of the most interesting aspects of Glasgow Cathedral is that despite being medieval in origins, it remains a living and evolving church. This can be most clearly seen in its stained glass windows.

They are purposefully surging at school get out times terrorizing our families. Ice needs to stay away from our kids.

The historian in me: Fair point.

Saint Paul schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare for optional online learning.

I’ve seen schools close for snow, for pandemic, for natural disaster. I’ve never seen schools close because of threat from our own government.
