Good Intentions
@seeker47.bsky.social
Follower of Christ, husband, father... I've served on the school board and the deacon board and believe we're only going to fix things by making genuine, local connections with people who disagree with us.

Voted for @mikiesherrill.bsky.social today.

Also voted in the assembly race, county commissioner, township council, & school board. These posts affect your every day life and are the farm team for the future.

Remember, if you don’t vote, you don’t get to complain about the outcome.

Just needed a day to touch grass. This particular sycamore is 250 years old. He’s seen it all.

Have any of these "spiritual advisors" taken him aside to tell him, "No, Mr. President, salvation is through faith, not works"?

Getting into heaven is easier than winning the Nobel Prize or being named Time's "Man of the Year", but nearly impossible if your world view is only transactional.

Consider an old-fashioned pastry cutter. It doesn't melt the butter like a mixer sometimes does.

21.1% of US production is from renewables. The largest producer? Texas. Oil-soaked, heart of the fossil fuel beast Texas. They're at peace with renewables. It's not the industry. I have to believe this is mostly driven by personal grievance.

In all of his ramblings, Trump hasn't mentioned sending troops into Philly... I think we all know why.

Ironically, Texas has huge interest in wind/solar. It helps prop up their flimsy, independent electric grid.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. " Eph 2:8-9

Everything he does is transactional. All he has is the boast.

Men take a loss, learn, and move on,
Little boys blame the ref and hold a grudge;
Men lift others up,
Little boys want all the credit;
Men work hard to be strong,
Little boys settle for looking powerful;
Men seek to lead,
Little boys are happy to simply be in charge.

I'm afraid to ask this question... civilization itself hangs in the balance.

Hebrews 13:1-3

Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

I woke up sad again...

Proverbs 29:4
By justice a king gives a country stability,
but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down.

Exodus 23:8
Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.

This week’s theme for me. I can only control my actions. Focus on aggressively doing good rather than bemoan the evil around me, doing evil myself, or worse still, saying nothing at all.

Those of us in the 28% need to stay engaged and speak Biblical truths to the other 72. That means uncomfortable conversations in Bible study and potluck dinners. It has to be us; we're in the room.
