It’s so funny when people think I have an “advantage” bc I get extra time in exams/grace periods on assignments, like idk man if you want to swap I’d be happy to have a functioning brain & body & you can have the accommodations, I promise you being able to do the work is the better end of the deal
We need to be able to see that the line "accommodations have gone too far" is an expression of the ableist notion that disabled students do not belong in higher ed. Its fundamentally an anxiety about the fact that disabled students get an "advantage" over abled students.

My two year old nephew asked me for a soccer jersey for Christmas. So naturally I got him four. A Spurs, an Everton (my wife’s team) and two sporting kc. Good thing my sister doesn’t follow soccer so she doesn’t know how terrible an influence I am.

How are Spurs going to give this away for the third time?
December 2, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Spurs should try it
Fulham somehow scored 4 today on just 0.73 xG and took City to the wire. Sometimes you just have to shoot and see what happens.

"I'm going to tax the everloving shit out of the rich people who made your life miserable and put every masked thug who broke the law or traitor who wrecked the government for their own profit in prison" I admit is too long for a sign, but at the very least this should be the spirit of the thing.
No value, no villain, no vision. Sounds like the tagline for the earnings call of a collapsing appliance retailer

They’re simultaneously arguing that soldiers have to follow all orders from the president, legal or not, but they get to ignore orders from a federal judge if they feel they’re not legal.
KARL: Did you know about the judge's order when you issued your order for the planes to continue?

KRISTI NOEM: This is an activist judge. We comply with all federal orders that are lawful and binding.

One of the major reasons we are here right now is that the white electorate does not reward politicians for making their lives better if that improvement also benefits non-white people.

the thing i keep thinking about is how michelle carter was found guilty for the death of conrad roy because she encouraged him to kill himself via text messages. which is... this is exactly what chatgpt is doing to people. at scale.
“OpenAI’s court filing argued that the harms in this case were at least partly caused by Raine’s ‘failure to heed warnings, obtain help, or otherwise exercise reasonable care,’ as well as the ‘failure of others to respond to his obvious signs of distress.’”
OpenAI denies allegations that ChatGPT is to blame for a teenager's suicide
Adam Raine's family sued the AI company in August. On Tuesday, OpenAI said in a new court filing that it isn't responsible for the teen's death.

We, by which I mean, taxpayers, are going to end up bailing out Tether “ stable coin” holders and Dems should right now be preparing their political offensive for what they are going to do with that opportunity.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I'm looking forward to hearing how it's evolved in the third film, because my theories have always been that either a) Craig started Knives Out without really thinking about how hard the accent would be to replicate consistently, or b) he's intentionally playing Blanc as a compulsive accent fraud
I have long posited that Daniel Craig's accent in Glass Onion is better than Knives Out because in Knives Out he is trying to do a real Southern accent and is bad at it but in Glass Onion he is just talking like Foghorn Leghorn, which is something a real gay Southern weirdo would do.
