FOX: Where’s the protest against the regime that's killing people in the street right now?

Trent: They are doing those today. It’s called the ICE protests

FOX: Are they talking about Iran at the ICE protests?

Trent: No, I think they are talking about the regime that is shooting people in the face

A murderer is a murderer. If the problem is that the state is sponsoring and defending a murderer and saying so aloud causes the state to sponsor and defend more murders, the source of this problem becomes utterly apparent.
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

Don’t let the professionally dishonest & the intentionally disingenuous frame an issue as a binary choice of either getting run over or shooting a person. There is literally a universe of options between those two extremes. Stop listening to dolts or liars. Options, create them, and use them…

The people of Minnesota are sending their tax money to the federal government and in turn the federal government has cut them off from funding and sent armed goons to terrorize their cities. I'm not sure what else to call this

I really missed that dopamine hit of contributing to #OSS. Had a little time today and worked on adding Windows / PowerShell installer support to @captainsafia.com's great "grove" tool for git worktrees. Hope to get it over the finish line to enable more people to use it!

Very cool! I love the way that Julia approaches these challenges and solutions. If you're someone looking to contribute to a project, this is an absolute model of how to do it. And then she teaches us after! We're very lucky.

Looking forward to reading the data model doc in depth!

No point here, no advice. Just wanted to send the equivalent of a digital hug to someone who is really going through it, who by all accounts seems to be trying to do the right thing at each turn.

Wishing you every possible success.

You couldn't have anticipated just how large of a seismic shift would happen, and how quickly. You are right to do whatever you need to in order to sustain yourself & others as creators.

I don't really know you, but I can't imagine being in that position. 2/

@adamwathan.com I don't even do front-end currently, let alone use Tailwind, but I know that so many consider it invaluable and I just want to say: I'm sorry for the position you're in. You're not an idiot. 1/

It is the position of the Trump Administration that its agents can come into any state and city in America (let alone other countries) and kill people and that state and city have no jurisdiction to inquire about it.

Treat any Trump official accordingly.
Noem on Minnesota officials: "They have not been cut out. They don't have any jurisdiction in this investigation."

Um, you're not allowed to go door-to-door hoping to randomly find someone violating the law. You need a warrant. That's is basic Constitutional shit.
JD Vance: "It was a legitimate law enforcement operation. We were going door to door to try to find criminal illegal aliens and deport them from the United States ... say a prayer for that agent ... he deserves a debt of gratitude."

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

So Capitol Police officers were assaulted and injured on Jan 6th, the White House today is blaming them for the violence, and the people who attacked them have been pardoned and are back to mock and abuse them on the 5th anniversary.

And the GOP is the party of the police? Really? REALLY??
White House's newly-posted "timeline" of Jan 6 blames Capitol Police for Jan 6, which included an attack on ..... Capitol Police

You're not living in an authoritarian country.

Except for the part where the president seizes unprecedented powers.
And the part where he orders sham prosecutions.
And the part where he invades countries to take their oil.
And the part where his White House rewrites the history of his coup attempt.

PS just to be clear for everyone, this was not a brag; it was a confession. Generally speaking: Do not do this! Literally everything else about my job is awesome or this would never have worked, and it still only barely worked.

Same. In a very supportive environment with a great team and leadership and we accomplished a ton but I (and they!) don't want that again. Last year was about making some miracles happen. This year is about sustainability.

Tonight I didn't even know what to choose! I don't play a ton of games typically. I randomly chose the Hitman series because I wanted longer storyline play and I already happened to own it 😅

Realized I think I miss writing more though

I worked 694 overtime hours in 2025.

That's 4+ *months* of overtime. Largely necessary, but in no way sustainable.

Holiday time was great. Trying to do a hard reset now. "Forcing" myself to play a videogame and then go to bed early. 😅
