Imagine if any of the Tory leaders had had constant criticism from every side? The tax-dodging media tycoons made Truss sound like an economics genius, Johnson’s grifting, philandering and idleness were barely mentioned, whilst Brexit was going to boost the UK’s global standing!!
Yes Keir Starmer is the most unpopular PM in history and yes, this is partly a reflection of the man, but people forget its also a sign of the times

Every word of this! To be a member of the European Union is a privilege. We all need to wake up and use our votes to protect it.

8/12 We forget our own strength.

Our enemies need our markets more than we need their approval. We are the world's largest single market.

They should not be dictating terms to us. We should be setting the rules.

If they want access, they must play by our standards

7/12 We need to stop apologizing for who we are.

Europe is the best continent on the planet. We are the last true stronghold of democracy that still has global scale. We have the best values and the highest quality of life.

We have something worth protecting

6/12 I am not saying every regulation is perfect. Far from it.

But smart EU regulation is our armor. It protects our data, our environment, and our democracy from foreign interference.

Without it, we are just an open market for predators to strip-mine

I did not know this...
🚨BREAKING: Puerto Rico has been part of the United States since 1898, and people still act confused that Puerto Ricans are American.

States that joined after Puerto Rico:
• Oklahoma — 1907
• New Mexico — 1912
• Arizona — 1912
• Alaska — 1959
• Hawaii — 1959

Yet somehow this is still news to folks.

It’s essentially the same problem every time - we have a media owned by overseas billionaires who desperately want to see Farage in power here, to mirror Trump in the US. Meanwhile, the same billionaire’s club, and Putin, are funding far-right groups across Europe to end liberal democracy.

Err on the side of caution!
Public services still entering into new contracts with USian IT firms.

Would be interesting to see litigation by other candidates invoking procurement terms about reliability and risks.

Procuring US services by critical public entities if EU alternatives are available should be banned EU-wide.

PM Starmer had a golden opportunity to fix things, to back Europe, but he has squandered it, mainly through quibbling, justifying the anti-European position, and not seeing the big picture.

It will likely never be as good again, but let's hope the next UK PM can act.

Here's an idea for Starmer:

Why not keep the promises he made when he was elected Labour leader?

👌🏻Public ownership

👌🏻Scrapping tuition fees

👌🏻Higher taxes on the wealthy

👌🏻Free movement in the EU

This would be a pretty popular platform right now

After the referendum, the BBC chief Lord Hall ordered the BBC to treat Brexit as a done deal, a decision which all but wholly excluded Remainer opinion from the BBC for around 2 years, thus grossly biasing the Brexit debate. It was a grotesque abuse of democracy.

You vote, you vote again. That's how democracy works.

Denying the whole process and saying it's up to foreigners to ignore it, or worse saying it's up to Europe to fix the problems of the UK's choice, is infantikisation of a country.

Freedom of movement is a key aspect of the Single Market.
It is only available for members of the Single Market.
The UK left the Single Market when it left the EU.
Ergo the UK left freedom of movement.

Watch, 'The Spider's Web. Britain's Second Empire'. The UK's international tax avoidance network is sheltering hundreds of billions of pounds from the tax system the rest of us must pay into. If Polanski is serious, he must tell us what he intends to do about it.
The propagandist media rant that wealthy people will leave the UK if Labour are elected, but NEVER comment on the £billions sent offshore by wealthy people who refuse to contribute to the UK.
HMRC won't admit how much tax is lost offshore.

Major corporations dodge taxes by shifting profits to low/no tax jurisdictions. Wealthy use offshore havens.

Opacity means HMRC, Govt and tax abuse industry can't be held to account.

Normal people pay more in tax.
