Best review from Jaden `This book is brilliant! Just as good as Harry Potter - but without the magicʼ. 🤣
Keeping the monarchy is one thing but tolerating millions of acres being held in perpetuity by aristocratic hangers on? Not a hope.
As the wise say... 'We'll see'.

Goodwin a bit shell shocked by the end of QT. Tried to blame everything that's wrong in Britain - including the NHS - on asylum seekers. Constantly refers to them as "Fit males of fighting age." They're hardly bleeding the NHS. Kept calling them illegal.
It's a hate campaign. Don't fall for it.

The DUP thought they could make brexit all about them. They thought they were still important to Westminster. However, the people who wanted brexit care nothing about nations - in fact, they consider themselves above nations. It's time the UK gov gets serious about offshore tax avoidance!

This might explain my query. I thought that the EU showed great humanity in treating non EU spouses as equal to their EU partners as long as they travelled /resided together. I just wondered if the new electronic checks would change that.

How it was v how it is now.
Johnson and his sycophants really couldn't imagine Irish exporters cutting out the UK completely.
Welsh ferry ports are ghost towns.

I don't think the true cost of renationalising water is in the company's debts and lack of investment. Those costs can be figured out easily enough. The real cost is wages, national insurance and most importantly, pensions. That's what has them running scared. Tens of thousands of workers...?

It is a good year for plums. A plum year.

Everyone who was meant to benefit from brexit... has. People who manage finance are very forward thinking. Deadline for all EU members to enact anti tax avoidance directive was about to close some lucrative loopholes. Imagine being able to convince the biggest tax avoidance network to brexit in time

A Monster Calls

(The one book everyone should read imho)

You are wrong, of course. Italian golden visa confines holder to not leave Italy for more than 6 continuous months and 10 months over 5 years. Holders may apply for permanent residence after 5 years. They still have to obey 90/180 in rest of EU. UK citz can do 5 years in Ireland for EU citzship now!

I don't know what to tell you, Gyles, "The GFA doesn't automatically terminate after unification."
Do you think that disgruntled Unionists would happily become one with the Republic? They will need the assurances of the GFA more than ever. GFA might change but it certainly doesn't 'end'.

This is how I always understood it. A vote to unify Ireland would automatically leave a large number of British nationals disenfranchised. Their rights would still be honoured and underpinned by the ECHR.

There was never a famine in Ireland!

Hardly reeling. Let's leave sensationalism to the other side, guys...

Thank you, Siobhán, for using the correct term - "An Gorta Mór". People need to know... there was never a famine in Ireland. There was a genocide!

While farage was routinely amongst the highest claimants of EU expenses and the lowest attendees for voting, his constituency was THE lowest recipient of development funds in the country. His record is not difficult to challenge and his policies are just as easy to shred. UK media is pretty poor.

Value of US beef exports to China was $1.6 billion. The veils will be dropping from the beef barons eyes around now.

Slovakia, Nigeria, Phillippeans, Ireland and of course Britain for my care.
When they try to knock the NHS, remind them... It's not so long ago it was best health care provider in world - but something happened to it.
Defend it now!

Take a look at the price of gold in three major currencies over the last 60 days and tell us again how UK is any different to them.
Dreadful, propagandising reporting. No population should have to work so hard to protect itself from the disease of misinformation.
