I have a really weird emotional relationship with a man I never met, Michael D Higgins, President of Ireland. Everytime I hear him speak on our culture & history, a rush of memories of my grandmother emerge. He’s basically the male version of her, replete with warmth, depth & verbose fortitudes 🇮🇪❤️
