Do you charge an EV with a 13A socket?

Did you know it needs a specially EV rated socket?

Suitable sockets are marked BS1363-2/EV on the backplate and labelled as suitable for EV charging. It should also be on an RCD protected circuit with a suitable type of RCD.

Big code problem at a client, buffer overruns, crashes. Got the development team’s debug version of the container. Problem doesn’t happen when debug is switched on.

Why are people disappointed that the Louvre jewellery theft people seem to have been arrested?

They specifically selected art to steal that would be easy melt down and sell as scrap. This is cultural vandalism. They are not heroes.

A major IT infrastructure outage and once again the go-to talking heads for much of the UK’s media are Computer Science professors.

It’s like asking a physicist why a bridge collapsed, you’ll get an idea, but it’s much better to ask a structural engineer.

New Bambu lab 3d printer, first print with generic PLA. I did nothing other than the minimum setup, it even worked out what settings for the PLA itself. This is the pre-sliced benchy supplied by BambuLab. It took 20mins.

I am, needless to say, impressed.

I don’t care how you spin it, pulling out of a human rights convention to join Russia and Belarus as the only representatives on your continent not in it, does look like you don’t give two shits about other humans.

"There needs to be much more discussion before that is a policy"
‘She’s taking the most extreme option’: Why Kemi Badenoch wants out of the ECHR | The News Agents
The Conservative Party will pull the UK from the European Convention of Human Rights if it wins the next general election, says Kemi Badenoch. Why has she chosen this extreme option?

The Register writes an article about IBM “killing mainframe coding kit for PCs” (zPDT) unless you want to run it at an ISV. You’re more than half way down the article before mention of an almost identical product for (ZD&T) that continues to be available.

Is there a serious IT news site I can use?

2. I am not exactly bang up to date with my cultural references.
