There's an army of people out there telling us change is impossible.

Only that it is not.

10 years ago electric vehicles plaid almost no role in global car sales.

Today one in five cars sold worldwide is electric.

This is so deeply unserious. Throughout the entire 14 years of the Conservative government oil and gas licenses were routinely issued and for much of the period there was a policy of maximising extraction.

Production still fell, the economy flatlined, and energy security got worse.

Bloody love this. Rory has a great way of putting things upside down.
Imagine all cars were electric, and then one Volkswagen engineer comes up with another idea …

British NIMBYism is truly a sight to behold.

Here comes the sun: How clean tech is quietly transforming Britain for the better
Sales of solar panels, batteries, heat pumps, and electric vehicles are all setting fresh records - and the benefits for consumers and the economy could prove much bigger than expected

It says something that, even though he lived to 97, hearing Tom Lehrer has gone makes me think 'much, much too young'. One of the greatest satirists of all time. Here's a niche one, and one of my faves.

In the 1960s the USA spent 4% of its budget on NASA, AKA the Space Race. By comparison we are doing *very* little on our own climate. The day is coming when we'll have to go Space Race in the name of repairing and improving the climate on the objectively FAR better planet Earth. #earthgoodmoonboring

The chance of exceeding 40°C is now over 20 times more likely than it was in the 1960s.
