For The Ringer, I wrote about how amazing it was that the brilliant Catherine O'Hara finally became a superstar in her 60s, and how sad it is that she was taken from us just when we had all finally begun to appreciate her:
Catherine O’Hara Could Do Anything
And she pretty much did everything. The only tragedy is that it feels like she was just beginning to get the recognition her decades-long career always deserved.

Not to get political, but America is very pretty and has a lot of nice folks making cool things, and I think if we had a president who wasn’t actively trying to murder us, we could have a pretty good time

O’Hara was incredible forever, on SCTV, the Christopher Guest movies, Beetlejuice, Home Alone, etc. But she didn’t become as famous as her talent warranted until her 60s. Suddenly it was like everyone caught up to her, and she could’ve worked forever. To have her taken away at this moment? No.

There is no reason, and most of the directors, writers, and actors I know understand this. The rest need to get on board the Humanity Train.
Why should I watch something that a director didn't even bother to make?

When the NRA finds out that a citizen was shot and killed by Federal troops merely because he was carrying a gun, there is going to be hell to pay. This is the exact scenario they have been warning us about! These are the jack-booted government troops from which we need unfettered liberty!

There are two sides to this issue. One one side, law-abiding US citizens who are getting murdered extrajudicially by the Federal Government. On the other side are the Federal Government agents who are murdering them. Who is right? Both are right. Everything is the same. Thanks for watching CBS news.

The misrule of my country is now so hideous and profound that I am running out of things for which I am as an American rightly proud: Baseball, barbecue, Broadway musicals, African-American music, peanut butter cups & a walk on the streets of any diverse, pluralistic metropolis.

Wish I was joking.

Ogles: "It's important that we have a stake in Greenland, that they are quite frankly a protectorate of the US. They've been in relationship with Denmark - that needs to end. Anyone withnessing the chaos and barbarism of the untrained thugs masquerading as law officers for the last nine months understands ICE is raw human trash gathered into a lawless street gang. That's all. This isn't policing. It isn't legal enforcement. It's just incompetent, undisciplined terror.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
