A daily reality, over the past month or so.
Earlier today, a mob of Israeli Jewish settlers attacked and assaulted roughly 30 Palestinian villagers and activists, plus about 10 journalists who had gathered during an attempt to harvest olives near a settler outpost in the Israeli-occupied West Bank

Things were already bad and we were being asked to turn water into wine. But as (public) univs are having their funds restricted/illegally terminated, these pressures and demands are only going to get worse, especially as univs try to make up for those funding gaps by increasing enrollment 😵💫🥴
AI is enticing because it makes it seem like I might be able to do all the things I’m asked to do. I can’t write 5 articles, revise books, mentor students, write letters of recommendation, teach classes, work in the community, review for my peers, etc. and be a whole person.
