as expected a lot of nba fans online are passionately defending the right of sports franchises to intentionally lose which adds more ammunition to no one actually watches the games argument
i support any and all of these, I hate that fans cheer on tanking. I hate the whole thing i just want to watch basketball
later date
•No longer allowing a team to pick top 4 in consecutive years and/or after consecutive bottom-3 finishes
•Teams can’t pick top-4 the year after making conference finals
•Lottery odds allocated based on two-year records
•Lottery extended to include all play-in teams
•Flatten odds for all

One thing that used to bother me a lot is when people here (or in any big north american city) complain about taxes and the cost of living and talk about how much further money goes in places like Little Rock, Arkansas. Now I like it because its them indirectly admitting living here is worth it

Sometimes I read what people say they use LLMs for and it is genuinely one of the first times I’ve ever pondered if I am just smarter than everyone else 😂

There is a Kinda Guy that is absolutely gaga for Gruff-Aesthetic White Guy Who Says Kinda Lefty Things. Their love for this is *not* strategic or instrumental to some end, such a person is an object of intrinsic attraction to them, and a strong one at that. They will rationalise anything for this.
I also am baffled that people are assuming this super checkered barely known guy will be super progressive as though we're not living in a post Fetterman universe.
It's nuts that these are the two candidates the respective wings of the Maine Dems have coughed up. I am positive there are, somewhere in the state, a moderate who's not 97 years old and a progressive who doesn't have nazi tattoos.
