ICE etc got a lot of this power and funding because Democrats (Obama, Biden and Clinton) are afraid of being called soft on policing and immigration by the right and now Trump has weaponized it. There’s a clear lesson here about standing up for shit instead of cowering to racists and fascists.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

I am a passionate soccer fan, but this World Cup is already a travesty. It is either be a propaganda event for Trump, the winner of the FIFA Peace Prize, or it is going to be an all out fiasco irreparably damaging soccer as a game. Probably both. I'm not watching it.
Please please please boycott the U.S. over this. Should have boycotted Russia and Qatar before, there were all the reasons to, but please boycott the U.S. now if only because the goons from ICE will be arresting fans outside the soccer games.
