We are headed toward martial law and the end of our democracy and I will never forgive the people in power who every step of the way told us it was all just fine and everything would work out swell as long as we kept pretending that nothing we have actually seen with our own two eyes was happening

I’m so glad the Dems caved and these federal terrorists get paychecks again.
Here’s video of federal agents doing a drive by pepper spraying that hit a father and his one-year old on Saturday when the Feds were hitting Little Village and Cicero

I don’t want to hear how bad this is from senators. Save it.

I want to hear demands for Schumer’s resignation.

I'm really struggling to understand last night's utter failure. The only explanation I can come up with is "old guard" Democrats saw the writing on the wall after Tuesday's election and are cashing in while they still can. In 30 days, I want to see the stock trading disclosures for EVERY Democrat. 🤬
Yesterday, Chuck Schumer and his fellow cowards showed once again that our politicians do not serve the people; they serve their donors and themselves. This political system is broken and the leadership is out of touch. If Schumer is not immediately replaced, Dems should lose any trust that remains.

We finally have Trump on the ropes with the election last Tuesday, but this capitulation is just going to embolden him yet again! All your senators and members of the House should be hearing from you this morning! They still have to vote! ☎️☎️

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

If Chuck Schumer was a stronger leader, he would have been able to convince most of these senators to hold the line.

I’m terribly disappointed in him.

A Waukegan councilman was briefly detained by U.S. immigration agents on Friday, and he says the agents drew their guns on him while he was sitting in his car with his hands raised.

“My life flashed before my eyes,” said Ald. Juan Martinez.

As soon as he felt he felt he was safe, Martinez said his first call was to Waukegan Mayor Sam Cunningham.

A routine annual exam (height, weight, a look inside the ears, listening to the heart and lungs maybe, do you feel safe at home questions, etc) plus a flu and covid shot were quoted to me as $790 out of pocket without insurance.

Why is America like this.
November 8, 2025 at 1:42 PM
The current sticker shock is real, but the long term impact to the ACA will be catastrophic. If fewer people pay in, it will become less solvent, and prices will continue to skyrocket.

This could be the last year of the ACA, and frankly that’s been the GOP plan for 10+ years.
Many Americans need to secure health insurance now for next year, but are finding they cannot afford it. Trump and Republicans are refusing to lower prices.

This is what oligarchy looks like:

If you're Elon Musk, the richest man alive, Tesla gives you a $1 trillion pay package & Trump gives you a huge tax break.

If you're a poor kid on SNAP, Trump appeals a court decision that would have prevented you from going hungry.

Obscene.

So he's clearly likeable and authentic, yet some people worried he didn't have the experience needed, but then he tells Trump to turn up the volume and pulls LINA KHAN out of the woodwork.

I mean... if Dems don't realize yet that "Tax the Rich" is a winning platform, I'm not sure how to help them.
