@sabattons.com blew me out of the water with this c/omm of my girl, Liito. He incorporated so much of her story in the details. I had full trust he would treat her well and return an amazing piece, but I wasn't expecting such strong emotions upon seeing it. I was full on ugly sobbing last night. 😭💙

This was just me making this comparison yesterday, but today the Korean news is calling Minnesota "America's Gwangju" and have human rights lawyers explaining how America is now living through the dictatorship Korea once had.
The Chun regime that my wife fought against in the 80s did the exact same thing. They needed a "crisis" that "only they could solve" to hoard more ill-gotten power, so they chose one city (Gwangju), declared its inhabitants enemies, sent trucks full of soldiers to violently attack and kill them.

I keep seeing people say “yeah but ppl who make weird stuff get passed over/gate kept/shut out/isolated” in response to “make weird art” and that’s true! But the whole point is: make it anyway. Build an honest community with like minded people. Be brave. Be you. Make something that matters.
