Y’all should really read this collection.
To be read like this, as a baby press with many debut authors, is truly such a gift 🖤

⭐⭐ @lilacperil.bsky.social's sophomore shortform collection TABOO isn't just one of the best books of 2025 - it's also a testament to the power of collective organizing in underground publishing.

One of the best showcases of obscure talent and potential I've ever read.

For @msnbc.com I wrote about how Tuesday's election gives Democrats the blueprint for overcoming Republican anti-trans attacks and how thus should settle all the talk about throwing trans people under the bus.

Opinion | Democrats’ election wins showed they don't need to hide their support for trans rights
Republicans repeated Trump's anti-trans strategy from 2024 and lost big. This should be instructive for Democrats.

SUPER COOL AND VALID REASONS TO TRANSITION, AN INCOMPLETE LIST:

1) I’ve had dysphoria my whole life and it ruined me. I dropped out of school and almost died before finally transitioning. Now that I am who I was always supposed to be, I can breathe easily for the first time.

2) It seemed cool.
ok but to be honest if someone actually transitioned purely cause they felt like it was a trend they wanted to get in on that would be cool as hell? like yeah, use that bodily autonomy, fuck around because you feel like it

This is why I loathe American doomers who tell their fellow American trans people to just flee to another country. The fight is global, and you're best positioned to win that fight in your own home.
