Probably a bit woke.

In a world without the BBC, how will we know what is true and what is truly haplening in the world?

Our only source of information (misinformatio) will be the billionaire-owned media.

The BBC has been gravely damaged by 14 years of the Tories.

But we desperately need it to be functioning properly
Is the BBC worth saving at this point?

Or, translated:

“We didn’t punch down on or vilify trans people sufficiently for the Telegraph’s liking.”

How many years away are we from having a “both sides” factor when discussing gay people, I wonder?

Yorkshire Water: it’s time to end the rip-off
Handing the company back to local people would return both control and value to those who need it most

Boris Johnson says the idea that criticism of the BBC is being organised by the right is ‘complete and utter bollocks’, which makes me think there might be something in it.

Trump's White House & fawning hacks here don't really care about the 0.001% that the BBC gets wrong. They care about all the stuff it gets right.

There’s something of an irony that Trump’s threat to sue the BBC will have publicised the contentious film in a way that would never have happened otherwise.
And maybe some people will now watch the full speech to see what he actually said and meant.
You know, just to find some facts.

The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

The BBC is in crisis in the same way that GB News would be if you put Owen Jones on the board armed with a veto and plenty of coffee.

The Panorama edit was poor journalism, not sure how it happened (more than 15 yo when I worked there we all had to go on a course because someone made the Queen look grumpy about something in the wrong order). But of all of it, this is the only piece I’ve read that properly nails the issue…

It's impossible to defame Trump.

He has no reputation that could be damaged any more than he has damaged it himself.
If you've ever needed a reason to rally behind the BBC then this is it.

The BBC should reply by asking Trump to participate in their forthcoming documentary based on the copy of the Epstein files they’ve just been provided with.

Both things *are* true ‘at the same time’. The anti BBC movement is rife amongst Social Media acolytes whose primary belief is that anyone who believes the World’s most respected news output is ‘brainwashed’ whereas those who prefer the unregulated SM ‘news’ sources are ‘independent thinkers’. 🤷‍♂️
The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

Trump is deflecting.
Again.
I’ve written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage urging them to condemn Donald Trump’s attack on the BBC.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.

They are not to blame.
