Last night I went to the Puca Festival in Trim, Ireland.

It's all fun and games until someone unleashes a giant demonic hare.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

Hi @giffgaffnetwork.bsky.social you have blocked our IP address, is it because my partner (and bill payer) has a Polish surname? Feels racist!

And maybe because so often social care is seen as an adjunct to the NHS, something to get frail older people out of hospital, rather than as it should be, the support which enables people - including those frail older people - to thrive in their community.
Love this. So seldom that we hear about social care as support to be and do the things that matter to us. Maybe because so often it isn’t offering us that? www.bbc.com/news/article...

Very interesting article about the complexity of chronic disease and the ways in which it is measured in a population.
My new post is about MAHA, chronic disease, and why it's correct to say that the diabetes rate in the US has been falling for over a decade.

I welcome the Palliative Care Commission, with some fabulous commissioners. But where is the nursing voice? Of 21 commissioners why 10 medical doctors and only 1 person with a nursing background? #hpm #hapc #nursing @alisonleary1.bsky.social palliativecarecommission.uk/commissioners
