Since we're doing the "fascism" debate again, I have to confess I find it baffling how the "not fascist" argue it can only apply to the specific situations of one historical time period, which is not a standard they would ever apply to any other political label ("socialist," "liberal," whatever.)

We don't praise government when it works, so I want to call out the UK's ETA app (I used the Android version): it exceeded every expectation in the best possible way. The whole thing was done in about a minute, and I had an ETA in about two. (Now I can actually get into the UK!)
